Day +180

I am fine today, but still with red eyes. I believe the problem will subside in a few days time.

I managed to upload the audio file of yesterday’s sharing. It is a 2.8MB mp3 file. The sharing was done in Chinese. If you know Chinese and would like to listen to the sharing, you can to download it here .

I will post some of the content of the sharing the next few days.

See you next post :-)

Dear David (Sir),

It has been a long while since my last visit of your blog. Just drop in again today, and very happy to learn about your positive progress.

Listened to your sharing in Mandarin, which is a little bit weird to me. We have used to your English lecture and never hear you speaking Chinese in college.  (Another reason might be I've been in Taiwan for too long and already not used to the way Malaysian Chinese speak Chinese ... :p) Anyway, it's glad listenning to your sharings, I’m proud of you for making such a miracle. Please keep it on and you will always be blessed by all of us.

And, I also read one of the blog below about the non-crispy apples. Next time when you accidentally purchase apples like that, do not feel disappointed or throw them with guilty. You can use them to make apple juice, or make apple & white fungus sweet desert (蘋果雪耳糖水), which is good desert for throat & lung soothing. Recipe for the sweet desert is pretty simple.
(1) Remove the apple skin and clean the seeds, ready for use. (Apple can be replaced by pear; or cook with both apple and pear)
(2) Clean and soak white fungus
(3) Boil water, put in apple and white fungus. Cook for 1 hour and add in cane sugar for taste.

This is a type of common Cantonese deserts, but Fuchow people from Sarawak might not familiar with it. (Like my husband). Hope you will like it.

With best regards,
Pei Sze

Hi Pei Sze,

I am very glad to hear from you again. Yes, my Mandarin is always weird. I think it got a very strong Foochow slant. Can't be help :-) I was brought up like this. It's the way Foochow speak Mandarin rather than Malaysian speak Chinese. If you visit Sibu where they are a lot of Foochow, you see meet many of them who speak Mandarin like Foochow. This is particulary obvious in the elder group.

Thank for all your blessings :-)

Thank you for your advise. I did cook the drink you mentioned using pear especially at time when it was not suitable for me to eat raw fruits. I never think of using apples for the drink. I will tell my mother-in-law to about this:-) She must be very happy to know this :-)

Your husband is Foochow?

From my site statistic, you should be in Tapei, right? When I heard about earthquake in Taiwan, I think about you.

Best Regards,
David

Dear David,

Yes, I’m still in Taiwan. 
My husband and I are both working in Taipei, and the earthquake happened a week ago was in South Taiwan, so we were not interfered this time. Thanks a lot for your concern.

By the way talking about Foochow, yes, my husband is Foochow too. And he has some identical things with you… Foochow, from Sarawak (Limbang), and surname is Ting.  I did ask him does he have any relative in Miri, he said yes but no direct relative from his father. May be Ting is just one common surname in Sarawak? I think it’s definitely not as rare as my surname (Ann). 

Wishing you and your family a Happy (& full of love) New Year 2007.

Best regards,
PS

I put some smiley faces in my previous message, but they are all gone after posted. :)
Clarify just to make sure you don't read that I'm serious in the message. I do smile from my heart when I composed that. :)

Hi Pei Sze,

I see. Your husband and I can surely communicate in Foochow and this time I would gurantee you that I will speak correctly :-) Is his Ting = 陈? In fact, I am originated from Bintangor, not Miri. I worked in Miri only.

I still don't know what 'Ann' should be in Chinese :-(

Wish you and your husband a healthy and properous year 2007!

David
