Day +1973 : Form 6 (6A4) Classmates 2nd Reunion (4)

I am fine today.

We had breakfast in the hotel the second day, and after that we had a family Sunday service in the hotel room. Aaron said that "I like the hotel service very much" after the service :-)

All of us gathered together with our teacher Mrs Doreen at 11:30am and then we proceeded to New World Park for lunch. As Monday was a holiday, many tourists came to visit Penang, and the island was very crowded. We managed to drive very slowly on the way.

After the lunch, we visited the Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera), and once we were met with very heavy traffic. Not only this, we had parking problem as well. I was thinking of aborting the visit and returning to hotel, but considering this is a reunion, I have to be there by hook or by crook.

The next challenge we had to tackle was the long queue of tourist boarding the train up to the hill. Again, I was thinking of cancelling the train trip, but some of the classmates were so enthusiastic on that, so I followed. Eventually all of us managed to get to the top and we had a very nice photo session over there :-)

The breakfast

Omelette station - the hotel was so crowded that we have to wait for a long time to be served. Anyway, I waited :-)

Day +1972 : Form 6 (6A4) Classmates 2nd Reunion (3)

I am fine today.

We had a very nice reunion meeting at night where everyone was given a chance to speak and answer questions from the floor. My wife, Daniel and I presented a musical ensemble with saxophone, guitar and recorder.

Mrs. Doreen presented everyone of us including each family member a gift. Furthermore, she presented each of her students a card with a tailored message written on it.

She asked us the reasons that we remembered her for so long - 23 years after we left each other. She is the one and only that we remembered and invited for the reunion. We couldn't forget her for what she had done for us. Simply put, she is a teacher who "walks into our hearts, and touches our lives". It is so precious to meet her and to have her among us in the reunion.
