Day +1966 : What? No more Firefly flight to Sibu?

I am fine today.

We will be going back to Sarawak for year end holiday from 10 to 21 December. I booked Firely flight between KL and Sibu for the family on September. I was told that the booking is valid until 26 November. After the booking, my wife applied for travel warrant.

The travel warrant was approved. My wife and I collected it from the education department yesterday afternoon. After that, we proceeded to MAS office at Subang Airport to collect the ticket. We were very surprised to be told by MAS ticketing staff that there is no more Firefly flight to Sibu, and that they cannot issue the ticket as the flight information indicated on the warrant is no longer applicable. We were totally in the dark about the cancellation.

The ticketing staff asked us to re-apply the warrant but we insisted that it is not our fault, and thus it is not our responsibility to go through the whole process again. We demanded, if they really couldn't issue the ticket, that they should write down on the warrant the reason that the ticket could not be collected. Upon hearing that they needed to write something, they changed their mind, and started to work on the issue. Finally, they contacted the education department, settled the issue among themselves, and then issued tickets under MAS flight :-)
