Day +2095 : Tenth blood donation campaign

I am fine today.

Our church held its tenth blood donation campaign today. A total of 69 donors managed to donate their blood successfully. This is another record!

Given that there was another blood donation campaign going on at a place nearby today, the response is considered very good :-)

With this campaign, our church successfully donated a total of 489 packs of blood since the first blood donation campaign on 19, September 2007.

The result:
  1. First campaign: 36 packs
  2. Second campaign: 34 packs
  3. Third campaign: 46 packs
  4. Fourth campaign: 47 packs
  5. Fifth campaign : 48 packs
  6. Sixth campaign: 42 packs
  7. Seventh campaign: 47 packs
  8. Eighth campaign: 66 packs
  9. Ninth campaign: 54 packs
  10. Tenth campaign: 69 packs (highest)

Day +2094 : Score first 100% :-)

I am fine today.

We had to sit for a small test for the subject Pentateuch every fortnight. The test was devised by the lecturer to test if a student complete the reading assignment. The questions can be very tricky.

I sat for the fourth test this morning, and for the first time, I scored 100% :-) I spent about 5 hours to read in detail about 60 pages of text and 10 chapters of Bible - about 2.5 hours last night, and another 2.5 hours this morning. I waked up at 5:00am this morning to memorize what I had studied last night.

The lecturer gave me a nice bookmark as the present for the achievement :-)

Day +2093 : Feel like sitting on the road

I am fine today.

I mentioned in my blog entry "Day +2090 : Back to square one" that I am now using my first car - Proton Wira 1.3 - that I purchased about 18 years ago. It acts as a temporary replacement for my Toyota Innova that met with an accident, and had to be docked in Toyota service centre for about two months.

The seats of Proton Wira 1.3 are really low. I always feel like sitting on the road whenever I sit on the driver seat :-( The maximum seating capacity of the car is 5 persons. However, I still manage to squeeze the whole family - 8 people - into it :-)

Day +2092 : A short term mission visit from CCMA Agape Church Bangkok

I am fine today.

A short term mission team of nine members from CCMA Agape Church, Bangkok visited the seminary yesterday evening. They stayed overnight here and this morning, the members were "distributed" to various classes to experience the class life of a seminary student. The team leader, Rev. James Wong, was assinged to my class :-)

The team went to my church in Puchong in the afternoon. They will be staying in the church for the next few days, visiting some places in Klang Valley, and attending some church meetings.

Day +2091 : Lunch at Jojo Little Kitchen, SS2 PJ

I am fine today.

After seeing doctor in UH last Tuesday, we had lunch at Jojo Little Kitchen, SS2 PJ. In fact, I took a big plate of fried noodle in UH before that, but because many didn't take full lunch in the hospital, they would like to have something nice to eat for lunch, and I obliged. Therefore, this was the second lunch of the day, and this made me skipped the dinner.

Day +2090 : Back to square one

I am fine today.

You might wonder how am I going to move around as my Innova has to be docked in the Toyota Service Centre for the next two months. No problem. I found a car - my first car purchased about 18 years ago :-)

I transported the car here from Miri in 1997, used it for several years, then passed it to my nephew, Soon Hui, to use, and a few years later, the car was passed to Soon Hui's brother, Ming Hui. Ming Hui went back to work in Kuching a few months ago leaving the car lying idle there, waiting for me to use perhaps :-)

When my car was met with an accident, my wife proposed me to use this car even before I started to worry about my transport for the next two months :-)

I sent the car for a general service last Friday. It cost me RM640. The high cost is due to the fact that the front absorbers had to be replaced :-(

The  car
Quite heavily dented but I don't mind as long as it serves the purpose
