Day +1698 : Epson Stylus TX121 Printer

I am fine today.

I need a colour printer. My classmate, Kah Kiong, who is going with me to MBS every day, introduced to me Epson Stylus TX121 many weeks ago. It is a 3 In One device which handles printing, scanning and copying.

The main concern of a printer like this is the cost of the cartridge. However, I was surprised to find out that there was plenty of "refilled technologies" in the market to beat the cost. In addition to the original cartridge, I also purchased a refillable cartridge where I can refill the ink as I wish. This makes the cost of colour printing very cheap :-)

Most of the refillable ink technology requires the installation of "ink tank" outside the printer as depicted in the picture below. This ink is pumped through the tube to the custom cartridge inside, and this design is messy and problematic.

However, for Epson Stylus TX121, the custom cartridge is exactly inside the printer and thus, no tube and external ink tanks are required; neat and less problem.

I purchased the printer on 11 February 2011 with a cost of RM305 including a refillable cartridge that cost RM90. The shop also gave me 4 bottle of inks free.

I am very busy after purchasing the printer as Aaron and Adriel request colour printing every day. They always search the images that they want from the internet and requested me to print the one that they like.

I am quite satisfied with this printer. If you would like to have cheap colour printing, this is the printer that you should consider.

Day +1697 : Adriel's index finger tip was flattened

I am fine today.

When I was in the church meeting someone yesterday, I received an urgent call from my maid saying that Adriel's finger was badly hurt.

Adriel was playing with Aaron next door. Aaron playfully tried to knock her down with his bicycle, and in response to that, Adriel poked a stick somewhere between the chain and the chain ring to stop the bicycle.

After the bicycle stopped, she attempted to remove the stick but Aaron move the bicycle forward, dragging her index finger into the place marked by the arrow below, flattening her finger tip.

She cried very much as it was very painful. My neighbour quickly rushed her to a child specialist clinic together with the maid and my niece, and at the same time, I rushed to the clinic to meet them. The finger tip restored to the original shape slowly and fortunately there was no serious damage done to the finger.

Doctor said even if the bone was hurt, it will recover by itself. We only need to send her to hospital if the finger swelled or if she had fever, and we thank God that neither happened :-)

Day +1695 : Giving a Testimony in MBS

I am fine today.

All new students are required to give a testimony during the chapel service and it was my turn to share today.

I based my sharing on what I shared on 9 January - Day +1648 : Sharing on the calling to go for seminary course. The sharing went quite well though I didn't have much time to prepare.

Day +1694 : Playing catch-up game

I am fine today.

The 4 days church leadership retreat was a good experience to me. However, there is a price to pay, not in term of money, but in term of time. Because of this, I am four days behind my study :-(

I am playing catch-up game after the retreat, late to bed and early to rise, struggling to beat the deadline for many readings and assignments. What I am longing now, as what all my children do, is to have the midterm break in mid March. Going for seminary course in fact put myself on the same level as my children, and I believe my wife, who is a teacher, also wish to have the holiday as soon as possible. I should say that the seminary course synchronizes the wish of the whole family - waiting for school holiday :-)

Hopefully, I will be able to catch up my study after the midterm break.

Day +1693 : Lunch with MBS Principal

I am fine today.
I am fine today.

The principal of Malaysia Bible Seminary (MBS), Dr. Jason Lim, came to visit our church last Sunday together with a few seminary students. He took over the post of principal last year and this was his first time visiting us. Dr. Jason Lim briefed us about the seminary and delivered a message after that during the service.

Day +1692 : Roses for my wife :-)

I am fine today.

I didn't have a chance to celebrate Valentine's Day with my wife this year as I was attending the church leadership retreat in Cameron Highlands. However, I purchased roses for my wife on the way back :-) I seldom purchase flowers for my wife and according to her, this was the second time she received flowers from me.
