Day +2459 : Good Friday Service

I am fine today.

A short-term mission team from Shatin Emmanuel Church (沙田灵光教会) Hong Kong which comprises of almost 20 members visited us since Thursday this week. They will go back to Hong Kong on Tuesday, and they organized many activities during their stay in here in which on of the activities in to conduct the Good Friday Service which was held on Friday evening at Puchong Christian Alliance Centre.

The short-term mission team performed a drama during service, and then followed by a message by Pastor Kwok, the senior pastor of Shatin Emmanuel Church. We had holy communion in the service as well.

We appreciate the help of the short-term mission team :-)

Day +2458 : Resorts World Kijal Trip - Grilled seafood

I am fine today.

After a day of fun on the beach and in the swimming pool, we went to search for grilled seafood in the evening. Again, I searched the internet and found out a stall called Warung Awang Ikan Bakar which serves cheap and delicious grilled seafood.

We needed to drive about 34km to reach the stall but we felt that it is something worth to try :-) The seafood  there was indeed very cheap. I posted the price list for your reference. If you would like to pay the stall a visit, just make use of a GPS device. That was how I went there.

We ordered quite generously and the total bill was about RM90 only, a lot cheaper than those grilled seafood in KL :-)

Day +2456 : Resorts World Kijal Trip - Otak-otak & satar

I am fine today.

While Aaron insisted that we should have lunch at KFC on the second day, Daniel reminded me that we ate very nice local delicacies - otak-otak and satar - during our previous trip. I told Aaron that we can have KFC back in Puchong but not otak-otak and satar, and therefore we decided to look for local delicacies instead of KFC.

I searched the internet and found out the best stall for otak-otak and satar is called Warung Otak-otak Che Wan which is situated near Pantai Teluk Mak Nik, somewhere about 30km away from the resorts.

With the help of GPS, we found the stall easily and by the time we reached there, it was 1:00pm. There were not a single customer around and while we were wondering why such a popular stall attracted no customer during the lunch time, we were told that the stall would only open at 2:00pm :-(

We were hungry. We saw two Malay women making keropok in front of the stall. Instead of frying, the keropok was boiled in water, and a pack cost only RM5 :-)
