Day +1000 : A Thousand Days Only Possible With You!

I am fine today.

Today marked the 1000th day of my post bone marrow transplant.

It is the grace of God that keeps me alive. I trust Him fully and He leads me living a wonderful life for the past 1000 days, for He is my shepherd.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. [Psalm 23]

I would like to thank every one of you who gave me tremendous support in facing this challenging episode of life; my wife, my sisters, brothers, doctors, church members, relatives, classmates, friends, students, colleagues, readers of this blog.

May God bless you!

See you next post :-)

Day +999 : Happy birthday, mother-in-law

I am fine today.

My mother-in-law celebrated her 74 year old birthday yesterday. We had a family dinner at Cheong Wah Seafood Restaurant, Pusat Bandar Puchong.

Also joining us were our former Pastor, Andrew’s, wife and eldest son, Elina Aw and Wan Ling.

My nephew, Soon Hui, also attended the dinner.

May God bless my mother-in-law abundantly.

Day +998 : Holiday at Tasik Kenyir (14)

I am fine today. Continued from yesterday…

We had a very nice barbecue dinner at the hotel before leaving for the airport. Three friends joined us for the dinner and the total bill cost less than RM150. This is considered to be very cheap given that the meals were taken in the hotel :-)

The flight back to KL was slightly delayed. Adriel was very sleepy. She would like to sleep just after the flight took off. I told her not to sleep as we should be arriving KL in a short time.

“You wake me up when we reach the airport,” she told me.

However, when we landed at LCCT, no matter how I called her, she didn’t want to wake up. So we got an extra luggage to carry :-(

We reached home at 12 midnight and concluded our trip.

We thank God for blessing us with such a wonderful trip :-)

Day +997 : Holiday at Tasik Kenyir (13)

I am fine today. Continued from yesterday…

Since our flight back to LCCT was at 9:40pm, Richard booked a room at Primula Beach Resort, with a half day rate of RM100 only.

After checked in, we went for lunch at the attap house stall located not far away from the hotel. We ordered coconut drink, nasi kuning (yellow rice), nasi minyak (oil rice), beef and chicken.

After some rest, the children went to play sand and swim in the sea. It is a very nice beach. Many people were playing kites at the beach.

The hotel flied a red flag warning the guests that it was not safe to swim in the sea as the wave was too strong. However, Richard and the children still went down to the sea, playing with the waves.

The hotel served us welcoming drink right at the counter
