I am fine today.
While I was doing my first round of chemotherapy in Kuching, an elderly uncle from my eldest sister’s church came to visit, encourage and pray for me. Though he could not come to visit me everyday, he called me and prayed for me regularly through the phone.
Uncle Au is an 80-year old faithful and kind Christian who was diagnosed with prostate cancer many years ago. He completed his treatment in Singapore. By God grace and mercy coupled with medical treatment, he was cured of the disease. In the same year which he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, his wife was diagnosed with colon cancer. She was treated in Normah Specialist Centre (NMSC) in Kuching, the same hospital where I did my first round of chemotherapy. She was too weak to complete full treatment but by God grace and mercy, she was also cured of the disease :-)
I called Uncle Au this morning. He was so excited to hear my voice. He said he wrote down my name in his prayer booklet and never stop to pray for me since December 2006 until now. 16 months he had been faithfully praying for me continuously! What a caring and kind uncle who supported me from far away through prayer without my knowledge.
Before we concluded our conversation this morning, he prayed for me again through the phone. “Through good doctors and medicine coupled with God’s grace, I thank God that you are healed,” a blessing that he would repeat in very prayer. With this, I suddenly realized that I shall add in doctors to the “I see the moon” nursery rhyme that I mentioned on Day +273 Blog. It would sound like this, “I see doctors and doctors see me, God bless doctors and God bless me.” We should not forget to pray for God to bless doctors who treat us.
Apart from uncle Au, I know there are many people praying for me day and night continuously regardless of their faith, race and age. Many of them are praying for me persistently without my knowledge. I thank you for your continuous support. With your prayer and support, I am not lonely at all in facing this great challenge of life.
I am truly blessed to have you around and may God bless you abundantly :-)
See you next post :-)
