I am fine today.
My niece, Min Hie, applied for JPA scholarship to do a course in dentistry, but was unsuccessful. She appealed but to no avail. JPA offered her a course either in Science and Biotechnology but she turned down the offer and requested to consider offering a course in dentistry or medicine.
I documented the series of events in the following blog entries:
Day +1064 : Another lie exposed!
Day +1089 : Offered JPA Scholarship, but not the right course
After my niece, Min Hie, denied the JPA offer to pursue a course in Science or Biotechnology, JPA officer called again on Sunday, offering her a course of Pharmacy in International Medical University (IMU) this time.
Though her ambition (or rather her mother’s ambition upon her) is to become a dentist, she felt that an offer in Pharmacy is not too bad after all. So after careful consideration, she decided to take up the offer and ended her study in Labuan Matriculation College.
The arrangement is to do her one year A-Level in HELP institute, and then 4 years pharmacy course in IMU.
Apart from the course and accommodation fee, the scholarship provides annual air ticket and a monthly pocket money of RM450. The total value of the scholarship worth more than RM250,000 :-) The condition is to be bonded for 10 years :-(
Min Hie will be coming over here on next Monday for the A-Level study in HEP institute.
May God bless her study and all her future undertaking.
See you next post :-)
