I am fine today. Continue from yesterday…
However, having a 40”-wide panel in front of you can be very strenuous as our eyes are incapable of viewing all the working space without moving our head. Unless your neck needs a lot of exercise due to certain unknown reasons, I bet you wouldn’t want to “shake” your head all day long.
With the advent of 24” wide screen monitor, I believe a single monitor will serve the purpose. But one problem that we have to address with a single wide screen is how to arrange the applications on the desktop. Applications tend to overlap each other unless we manually resize them and place them properly on the desktops.
I came across a free software that assists us to arrange the applications on the desktop very easily. With some simple short-cut keys, we would be able to place an active application on the left half, right half, upper left, lower left on the screen.
The software is called WinSplit Revolution. You can download it here.
If you maximize an application, it will cover all other applications. A better approach is to be able divide a single screen into two virtual monitors; something like having two physical monitors. If you maximize an application in a virtual monitor, it won’t cover up the applications in another virtual monitor. A software called twinsdisplay could to this, but this is not a free software. You can download a trial copy here.
Two appplication arranged nicely through short-cut key using WinSplit Revolution.
See you next post :-)
