As it seems that people never understand and learn lesson from this as they still support the monkeys. The only way to have us better treated is to have election every year, but unfortunately this remains as a dream only :-(
In fact this phenomenon is not limited to election only, it might be happening within the company as well where those who are useful and important are treated extraordinary well compared to those who are not so useful. This type of practice is not really good for the company.
In order to enjoy the benefit of usefulness, those who are useful have to find ways to maintain their usefulness, at the expenses of the wellbeing of the company. For example, the useful staff might be reluctant to transfer technology or knowledge to new staff in order to maintain his/her usefulness.
Those who are not so useful could only envy how the useful are treated and find ways to leave the company. In the end, the greatest loser is the company :-(
Those who are not so useful but could not leave will have no choice but sigh, “I dream to be useful all the time.” :-(
