Day +1321 : What did I do the second day of Chinese New Year?

I am fine today.

Today is a colourful day that can best be described through some colourful photos that I have taken.

In the afternoon, I brought my family for a McDonald’s burger lunch.

These are all what we had

Ice cream promotion - pay RM1.50 instead of RM3.00 :-)

Fish fillet burger

Prosperity burger - very spicy with overwhelming pepper flavour. Never order this if you don't like pepper.

Busy eating.

My brother invited us to have a steamboat dinner in his house in the evening.

Another niece, Siew Ling, just arrived in time for dinner

We went to a nearby field to launch sky lanterns (孔明灯), playing fireworks and also remote controlled helicopter.

Sky Laterns. RM6 each. Richard brought them from Sarawak. But later he found out that a DIY shop here was selling at RM4.5 per piece.

Firework and firecracker

It's time to play

Using catapult to project the firework into the air.
The firework that was ignited, catapulted and exploded in the air.
Now let's launch the sky lanterns
New Year clothes? No, no. Richard's mother-in-law is opening a sky lantern.
Preparing the lantern for launch
Igniting the fuel

Waiting for thrust
Launching

Yes, we did it.
But it was hooked by a tree branch before it rose further :-(
Now, let's try the second one.

And this time, we are successful :-)
The last one

Fly above the condominium
Our last program of the night - flying this remote controlled helicopter

Due to the wind, it was landed on the tree :-(
My maid came to the rescue. She is a very skillful in climbing the tree
She picked up the helicopter with ease in just a few minutes :-)
See you next post :-)

Xin Nien Kuai Le, David and family. I wish all your loved ones Good Health...and yourself, improving health each day.

Which store did you get the sky lantern from? I just saw one up in the sky a couple of minutes ago.

Hi Gin, my brother, Richard, brought a few from Sarawak, costing RM6 each. He told me that the DIY shop in Bandar Puteri Puchong is selling RM4.5 each but only green colour is available. I think the DIY shop is somewhere near the Public Bank. Would like to fly one? David
