Day +1316 : Chinese New Year Shopping

I am fine today.

While waiting for the car to be serviced in the Toyota Service Centre on Monday, my wife came to fetch me to TESCO to do some New Year shopping.

We had two trolley-full of goods in about two hours :-) A Tesco discount coupon that gave a discount of RM24 for expenses of RM300 and above in a single receipt encouraged us to shop generously. And we were glad that we achieved the target :-) In fact, the total amount that we spent was more than RM400.

God bless me with a big family. So we never have to worry that we can’t finish the food that we have purchased. Most of the time what we have to worry is that we might not have purchased enough and the consequences of this is “war” among the children fighting for some goodies :-(

Someone just shared with me that she purchased a carton of 24 cans of 100Plus for Chinese New Year recently. Her husband was unhappy about this because he worried that they can’t finish them and eventually they have to take the trouble to dispose them after the drinks were expired.

But I have a different worry – the drinks run out too fast. There might not be any drinks left during Chinese New Year :-(

My mother-in-law always "came to the rescue" by hiding the the drinks somewhere that was beyond the reach of the children but this introduces another problem - when the Chinese New Year comes, she might already forget where she keeps the drinks :-(

These are what we had purchased

See you next post :-)
