Day +1194 : Dinner at Gao Ren Restaurant (高人馆)

I am fine today.

My wife and I had dinner with a few cell group members at Gao Ren Restaurant last evening. My company just had a lunch here on Monday.

A quote from Super Pages about the restaurant:
Restaurant Gao Ren Guan is serving Gao Chow dishes which is simple but tastefully done deco with aircond and large black and white images of people in the good old days getting together. There are some uncommon dishes served here. The Gaozhou Bitter Gourd is made by insertig stuffings through an opening on top of the gourd and simmered for an hour with soup. It taste is simply marvellous. Golden Beancurd is prepared by stuffing fried minced pork and markcerel in beancurd before cooking for two hours in soup which resulting in an exceptionally fresh and srumptious taste. The other signature dishes may be the appetising Hometown Braised Pork Belly and fragrant Hometown Salted Chicken.
Its signature dishes are:
  1. Gaozhou Golden Beancurd
  2. Gaozhou Bitter Gourd
  3. Hometown Braised Pork Belly
  4. Hometown Salted Chicken
We didn’t try any of the signature dishes this time. The Golden Beancurd was not so nice as I tried it before; nobody likes Bitter Gourd; Pork Belly is too fat, especially for ladies; Salted Chicken should be nice, but we ordered another type of chicken.

Anyway, the dishes that we ordered were all delicious :-)
