Day +732 : Happy 2-year old birthday to me :-) (2)

I am fine today. Continue from yesterday…

First of all, I would like to thank God for leading me through the valley of the shadow of death. He makes me lie down in green pastures and leads me beside still water even though I am facing turmoil of life.

I thank my wife who face the disease with me with enormous courage and take care of the children while I was absent.

I thank my 3rd sister Sie Chuo who donated her stem cells to me so willingly, and concern so much about my health even now :-)

I appreciate my eldest Sister Sie Huong who took unpaid leave twice to come over here to take care of me. She was almost the “general manager” for all my needs during the difficult time :-)

I also thank my other family members who showed great support throughout my treatment. Some of them came over here from Sarawak to take care of me in the hospital. While I was receiving the first chemotherapy in Kuching, many family members came over from various part of Sarawak to take care of me in the hospital.

I thank Pastor Andrew who flew to Kuching almost immediately upon the diagnosis of my disease and even take care of me overnight in the ward.

I thank my church members and Christians from many other churches - both local and abroad – relatives, friends, classmates, and colleagues, my wife’s colleagues and friends who showed great support through prayers, visits, encouragements, well wishes cards and financial aids.

My appreciation goes to Dr. Lau Lee Gong who taught me a lot about the disease in the early stage of the treatment in Normah Specialist Centre in Kuching. This knowledge helped me a lot in the subsequent treatment of the disease.

I also thank the team of doctors and nurses in UH who handle the subsequent treatments in UH. I always remember the “good time” with them in the hospital.

“You still remember us?”

The clerk in the hematology ward asked me when I brought some Mandarin oranges to the staff in the ward during last Chinese New Year.

“Of course! How could I forget?” I replied :-)

I thank Kuok Chai for handling my entire insurance claim even though many policies were not purchased through him.

Last but not least, I thank all readers of this blog. I know quite a lot of you read my blog everyday :-)

See you next post :-)
