Beautiful Gate is a ministry to care for the disabled. The ministry serves the true needs of the disabled since 1993 in PJ and subsequently set up branches in Kepong (Kuala Lumpur), Kampar (Perak), Seremban (Negeri Sembilan) , Batu Berendam (Melaka) and Klang (Selangor), to provide services to meet different needs of the local disabled. You can get to know more about them on their website at http://http://english.beautifulgate.org.my.
Goodwill Community Foundation from USA donated a 1 ½ storey factory in Puchong for Beautiful Gate Petaling Jaya Centre to extend the Recycling Project and to provide job opportunities to the disabled community in the Puchong area. If I were not mistaken, the factory worths RM600,000 and they have to raise about RM300,000 for renovation work. You can always find detail on how to support them through their website.
The Beautiful Gate Charity Festival is part of the fund raising event. My friend passed me RM200 worth of coupons and asked me to sell them in the church. Instead of selling them, I purchased all. Initially, I am thinking of passing the coupon to the teenagers in the church but they are too busy in other activities today and thus we decided to go to the festival ourselves.
The purpose of our visit to the festival was very clear - to spend all the coupons as fast as possible :-) There is no need to ask whether the goods we purchased worth the money. Just spend, spend, and spend. We finish all coupons in one and half hour :-)
The factory will be called Hope Factory
