My family and I attended my Form 6 classmates reunion dinner at Awana Genting today. The class was named 6A4, so we also called the event as 6A4 Reunion.
The traffic in the afternoon was very heavy that it took me two hours to reach Awana Genting; doubling the time taken in normal traffic condition.
The event started with a buffet dinner and then a sharing session in which each participant were given five minutes to share what they did the past twenty two years.
There were eleven classmates attended the event and our guest of honour was Ms. Doreen Wee, our Biology teacher and form teacher. She is a devoted Christian with a vision to touch the heart of students apart from teaching. She took care of us beyond the academic, so all of us remember her and love her until now. On the other hand, she said that we were the best students that she met throughout her teaching careers. I believe this is very true :-)
Those two years in SMK Meradong left an inerasable mark in our memory. We were so glad to be able to locate her and to invite her to attend the event.
I should say that Ms. Doreen Wee is the force that bind us together to make this event a success :-)
We will have other reunion next year at Penang and we hope more classmates will be able to make it this time.
