Our church organized an impromptu outing to Lake Garden Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
We supposed to start our journey from Puchong at 3:00pm, but it started to rain at this time. The rain didn’t stop our determination to fellowship through the outing.
We started our journey at 3:30pm despite that it was raining. My nephew, Heng Chiek, led a few cars with drivers who didn’t know the way. In fact, he didn’t know the way and he believed that his GPS did.
So we followed him faithfully, and he followed his GPS faithfully. And this faithfulness ended us up in the wrong way and to the wrong destination. We made many u-turns and at one instance, we did reach Lake Garden, but it was a back gate.
Eventually, we lost our faith in GPS and resorted to a map to point the right way to the destination. The lesson that we have learned is that we better keep a copy of map in our car even though we are equipped with a GPS device. Sometimes, the device might fail us.
There were about 50 adults and children participated in the outing. As it was raining, we didn’t explore the garden much.
However, we did have a nice dinner with food prepared by the participants :-)
