I am fine today.
My eldest sister was having sore throat and fever about two weeks ago. She went to see a doctor in the government hospital. The doctor gave her seven days medical leave without hesitation.
Due to the outbreak of A H1N1, the doctor now is very generous in giving medical leave.
My eldest sister told me that the doctor was very “stingy” in giving medical leave before that. If you visit the doctor in the afternoon and requests for medical leave the next day, the request would most likely be turned down. The doctor will require you to see him next day again to determine if medical leave should be given, but now this is not the case.
If you need a week of holiday, the only thing needed is sore throat and fever :-)
However, my sister was warned not to go anywhere. The doctor said that he will conduct “spot-check“ through telephone to check if she stays at home :-(
Can you bear this kind of restriction? If not, better keep yourself healthy.
See you next post :-)
