Day +1440 : Happy Birthday ShiMu!

I am fine today.

A church member, Mary, hosted a birthday dinner for Mrs. Rev. Lau (ShiMu) in a restaurant (风味)nearby. This is an early celebration as her actual birthday is on 22 June.

My family were invited to attend the celebration :-)

May God bless ShiMu and her work here!

Dear David,

Thank you, I very much appreciate your support.

I have a very secure feeling, because of my faith, that someday I will be with God in heaven. Until then, yes, I too believe He walks beside me, sometimes carrying me, and even at night when I have trouble sleeping I feel Him holding my hand.

During the actual bone marrow transplant procedure I felt the Holy Spirit in my room. A great life force surrounding me. It was a beautiful moment (but literally a couple of hours) that I felt the presence and was completely at peace.

It has only been since we have been home (after our three month stay in the post-hospital apartment housing required by the hospital and doctors), that I have felt a bit sad.

I know I am very, very blessed to have had all the events succeed.

Your post-transplant information on GVHD helped me much. I will reach my six month post-transplant on July 13th. I will undergo another bone marrow biopsy at the appointment in Tampa and two days of testing and consultation with my hemotologist/oncologist then.

I am very motivated by your success and your happy life that you and your wife and children are living. How blessed you and I are to be able to enjoy the love of our families and to grow closer to our relationship with God.

My husband and I believe that thru this diagnosis of AML/Leukemia that we have received more good than bad. Many of the things that we took for granted are no longer thought of that way.

My daughter is expecting our first grandchild in December and we are very excited about this. You are lucky to have such a beautiful, loving and talented family.

Thank you again. I hope you enjoyed the conference and the food. :)

My husband is an avid reader and I am interested in what kind of books you enjoy.

Perhaps I can mail a package to you. Are you able to receive mail from the United States? If so, what would you like to receive if I could send something to you and your family?

Hope to hear from you again.

Susan

Dear David,

Thank you for your daily blogs as you have no idea how much God has used your blogs to bless my life. Do pardon me for reading your blogs for awhile now.

I'd accidentally came across your blogs while doing some research on G6PD as my newborn baby boy were screened to have this condition.

Honestly, when the doctor first informed us (my hubby and I), I broke down and cried not knowing what to expect.

Having to surf and found your blog and how the Lord healed you somehow make me realized that God is in control. Though there is still a tug in my heart once in awhile but somehow, the Lord provide me courage and His mercy is new every new day.

Thank you for sharing so much about your life so openly. Do share more about your children. They brought a lot of joy to me knowing that despite G6PD, they grew up so beautifully and in the Lord.

Many thanks again. May the Lord bless you and your loved ones in His great abundance of joy, love, peace and warmth.

God bless,
Debbie

Dear Susan,

I like this "... thru this diagnosis of AML/Leukemia that we have received more good than bad. Many of the things that we took for granted are no longer thought of that way."

I share the same feeling :-)

Yes, I am always proud of my family - my wife, my children, my siblings, mother etc. This is one of the greatest blessings that I enjoy.

I read Bible and memorizing verses. And I also read computer books. Besides that I don't read much.

Yes, I can receive packages from United States, but please don't take the trouble to do that. My family and I appreciate very much your kindness.

Let me know your progress, and we remember each other with prayer.

Dear Debbie,

I am so glad to hear from you and I am very encouraged to know that you like my blogs :-)

All my three boys are having G6PD and they are all healthy. The eldest one, Daniel, will be celebrating his 13-year-old birthday on 20 June.

Yes, God is in control. Just put our full trust in Him. He will lead us to a path that is best for us :-)

May God bless you, your baby and your hubby!

Dear David,

Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear that Daniel is celebrating his birthday this Sunday. Do extend my birthday wish to him. Have a blessed birthday and may the Lord bless him abundantly in His love, peace and joy. May he grow up to be a man of God and stay obedient to Christ our Lord.

I'd been wondering if it is ok for me to write to you via email to learn more about how to take care of G6PD babies? There are so many question I had in mind but no where to ask.

Many thanks again. Take care and God bless.

In Christ,
Debbie
