Day +2421 : Chap Goh Meh Festival - The food

I am fine today.

The Chinese department of the seminary organised a Chap Goh Meh Festival celebration this evening. All students, staff and lecturers including those from the English department are invited to attend. As mentioned earlier, I am one of the organizing committee members of this event :-)

The main dishes for the celebration was prepared by the kitchen staff. However, students and lecturers contributed many other foods such as kuih Nonya, oranges, and dried meat (肉干).  One of the most notable dishes was duck tongue brought over by the spouse of a China student. This is the first time I know that duck tongue can be served as delicious dish :-)

Delicious Kuih Nonya - a student helped to order 400 pieces with the cost of RM100 :-)

Dried meat contributed by students
Glutinous rice - prepared by the kitchen staff

Fried mushroom - prepared by the kitchen staff

Duck tongue from China :-)

Vegetable by kitchen staff

Herbal chicken by kitchen staff

Sweet and sour pork by kitchen staff

Kimchi purchased by a student - RM160

To be continued and see you next post :-)
