Microsoft launched Windows Phone 7 (WP7) - its next generation mobile operating system , replacing Windows Mobile platform - on 11 October 2010.
However I understand that there is no display unit available until middle of November, so if you would like to have a feel of how it works, wait patiently.
Unlike Apple, Microsoft doesn't manufacture hand phone, so we will soon see different brands of hand phone running Windows Phone 7 flooding the market. We are not sure if there will be something like Windows Phone 7 tablet in future, competing with iPad and Android based tablets.
Would WP7 better than iPad and Android? For someone like me who is in no hurry at all to get a new phone, "wait and see" is the best answer :-)
