Day +1563 : iPad too expensive? DroidPad comes to your rescue

I am fine today.

If you are craving for Apple iPad but your pocket is empty, DroidPad might be an alternative. It is a 7 inches tablet from CSL - a Malaysian company :-)

The unit is running Android 2.2 and is weighing half a kilogram. It comes with price of RM1599 which is way cheaper than iPad. A few things that it can do which iPad can't do includes phone functionality and memory slot support. That means you can use the tablet to make call and also expand the memory with a memory card.

The quality of DroidPad but if want to have something simple, it might serve your needs.

My wife and I played with a demo unit at CSL Sunway Pyramid and found that that it is quite nice but we have no immediate plan to purchase it.

The DroidPad (with 3G + Wi-Fi support) - RM1599 only
The price of iPad is as follow (not officially lunch in Malaysia):
  1. RM 2650 - WiFi 16GB
  2. RM 3050 - WiFi 32GB
  3. RM 3550 - WiFi 64GB
It is cheaper to get it from Singapore.

More information about DroiPad is available here.

See you next post :-)
