Day +1549 : Cameron Highlands - Boh Tea Plantation

I am fine today.

Continue from yesterday...

We visited Boh tea plantation after visiting the Bharat tea plantation. It is situated about 6km away from the main road.

Visitors are allowed to enter the factory to see the tea making process. The smell of tea was extremely strong inside the factor; we were inhaling tea rather than drinking tea :-(

The process is fully automated. However, the plucking of tea is something that cannot be automated. The company employed 300 labourers to pluck the tea leaves while leaving only 30 workers in the factory.
