Day +1643 : Holiday in Sarawak (20) - Insects and animals

I am fine today.

There are many insects and animals in the kampong and we have to learn to live with them, insect especially.

Sea cucumber? No, no. It is a caterpillar.
Mosquito - a very popular insect

Tick - as small as a dust particle. This one is highly zoomed. Plenty of them in the kampong, biting people but no one realised it until my maid spotted it. This one was attached to Aaron's and it flew back with us to Puchong; the maid discovered it on Aaron's body second day we came back from Sarawak.
Chickens
Ducklings
Dog
Cat
Squirrels - ready to be cooked for food :-)
To be continued and see you next post :-)

Hello David, how do the squirrels look like before they were prepared to be cooked? Are they wild squirrel or reared ones? How do they taste? Very curious to know. Thanks!

Hi,

It looks like this - http://www.forks.ca/squirrel-the-other-white-meat-028341.php.

They are wild squirrels caught by my niece. I don't know how to explain the taste but it is definitely not something that taste nice. I don't get use to the taste and really didn't eat much.
