A friend, Xiao Su, picked us up at the airport. After we checked in to the hotel, Xiao Su brought us to a food stall near the hotel. The signature dish here is Thai Salt-Crusted Grilled Fish. It was served with a large dish of raw vegetable and herb. In addition to this, the fish was eaten with plain Mee Hoon as well.
A salt-crusted grilled fish weighing about 2kg cost 350Baht (about RM35) only. It is considered very cheap to our standard. The grilled fish eaten with the side dishes was incredibly delicious :-)
We also ordered other dishes and among them were seafood tom yum soup and glutinous rice. The taste of tom yum soup was really heavy but it was delicious. The glutinous rice was too hard for me.
