Whenever we talk about fireflies, we think of Kuala Selangor, but there is another place where we can see fireflies, that is Sungai Yak Yah, Kampung Ibok, in the district of Kemaman, Kuala Selangor.
We visited the river in the morning and we didn't see a firefly; all of them were sleeping I guess :-)
After that, we went to Lembaga Kemajuan Ikan (LKIM) Malaysia in Kuala Kemaman to look for fresh seafood but to our disappointment, we didn't even see a single fish there. The jetty was so quiet that we didn't see even one fish. There were a few fishermen mending their fishing net there.
On the to Kuala Kemaman, we saw a lot of stalls selling dried sea products.
We also visited the market at Chukai, but again we couldn't find good fish there. I believe all those so called expensive fishes were "exported" to other places, and not for local consumption.
