When I was young, my mother used to cook bamboo shot in tomato sauce during the Chinese New Year. I enjoyed the dish very much, and it has been so many years I didn't eat this dish.
My third sister (my bone marrow donor) who is living in Bintangor has a lot bamboo shoot. She asked my niece to bring some to me few days a ago. I cooked it my mother's way yesterday :-) While Aaron and Adriel dared not eating it, Daniel and Joseph enjoyed the dish quite a lot.
