Day +2831 : Old Town's Maggie Mee

I am fine today.

I visited Old Town White Coffee every Monday morning while waiting for Adriel who attended violin lesson at a music centre in Kinrara, and I ordered the Nasi Lemak set breakfast consisting of one Nasi Lemak and a cup of ice white coffee every time. It cost RM4.3 including the tax which is considered to be very cheap. Bot the Nasi Lemak and the coffee are nice :-)

I started to have flu and heavy cough again. This prevented me to have cold drink and food. Therefore I ordered a noodle set with hot coffee. The hot white coffee tasted nice but the noodle was no different from Maggie Mee :-(

The spoon and fork were disposable due to water rationing

Day +2829 :The Night Visitors

I am fine today.

Adriel and Aron found a few snails in the backyard about two weeks ago. It was at night. Some of the snails were very big. It is not easy to see a snail in the town. So the children were very excited. They borrowed my camera and took a few photos of the snails :-)

Day +2778 : A regular OldTown White Coffee customer

I am fine today.

I visited OldTown White Coffee for breakfast almost every Monday. It is not because I love any foods and drinks served by the restaurant but because I have to wait for Adriel who attended violin class at a music centre nearby OldTown in Bandar Kinrara.

I accidentally took a breakfast menu from the restaurant, and before I return it to the restaurant, I would like to introduce you the Nasi Lemak breakfast set which cost RM3.90++ only. The set comes with Nasi Lemak and a drink as shown in the menu below. It is considered pretty cheap.

If you need a place to work or to relax or for whatever purpose, I recommend OldTown and its Nasi Lemak breakfast set :-)

Day +2656 : Dinner at Yuen Buffet Steamboat

I am fine today.

Brother Lee Chong Diang (李聪敬弟兄) invited my wife, Rev. Lau and Mrs. Rev. Lau for a steamboat buffet dinner at Yuen Buffet Steamboat, Sunway Mentari yesterday evening. It has been a very long time I didn't visit this restaurant. I noticed the signboard of this restaurant had been changed since my last visit.

There were still many people eating at this restaurant. And the supply was as good as before. If you are great eater and would like to indulge yourself in a steamboat meal, you should visit this restaurant. It costs RM24 per adult excluding drink. The Chinese tea cost RM1 per person.

We enjoyed the meal very much :-)

The book is very well written and I recommend you to have one. You can get the book from publisher - The Bridge Communication Sdn. Bhd. (文桥) or if you need help purchasing it, I am most willing to help. The book cost RM26 only.

Day +2583 : Packing McDonald Happy Meals for school children

I am fine today.

My wife is in charge of the choir of her school. The choir wont the second runner up during the inter-school choir competition. The school would like to reward each member of the choir a McDonald meal.

It is difficult for my wife who is teaching to purchase the meal. McDonald delivery is not an option as it didn't cater for promotional price offered from 12pm - 3pm. I volunteered to help her - buying and sending the meal to the school.

33 packs of happy meal - costing about RM6.3 each

Each meal came with a toy

Day +2494 : We voted, indelible ink didn't work!

I am fine today.

My wife and I went to the polling station at SK Puchong Jaya after the church service. Most voters who voted in the morning complained that they spent more than 2 hours to finish the voting but my wife and I went straight to the polling room without queuing at all :-) This was quite a surprise to us as we expected a long queue there.

I wash the so called "indelible ink" with soap and manage to get rid of it in less than 5 minutes. The indelible is in fact not indelible. This confirmed many claims that the indelible ink didn't work at all.

This proved that my wife and I voted

After cleaning with soap, the index finger was as clean as before the voting :-(

Day +2489 : BN is no different than a spammer

I am fine today.

I received many sms from BN asking me to vote for BN candidates since 22 April. The sms were sent my Celcom broadband, not my hand phone. I never used broadband number to send sms and make phone call, and how BN got my number is something beyond my comprehension.

Now I have to regard BN as spammer and I have to consider seriously whether a spammer is worth my support.

Day +2488 : High fidelity music other than digital

Ι am fine today.

All the while I have been thinking that we only managed to enjoy high fidelity music on the digital media such as digital compact disc, and there is no way to store high fidelity music before the advent of the digital age. However, I realised only recently that recording industry was using HD Vinyl to record music in high fidelity and unlike digital music, the recording on HD Vinyl is in analog form.

The instrument used to playback music on HD Vinyl is very expensive. Not long ago, I discovered a website sharing tons of HD Vinyl music. The analog music on HD Vinyl is encoded in digital form and shared online :-) The quality of the encoded music is a lot higher than the quality of than those on normal HD compact disc.

I got quite of few of very nice classical recordings and they sound so good :-) If you are interested to know more about the music, do let me know :-)

Day +2479 : Vote wisely, one vote for DAP, one vote for PAS

I am fine today.

"Vote wisely, one vote for DAP, one vote for PAS" is the advertisement that threatens people to vote for BN. It is beyond reasonable doubt that the BN is employing scare tactics.

But unfortunately, at least for BN, peoples are now getting more and more positive and mature that they always tend to interpret things positively. When it comes to this advertisement, the message is ultimately clear to them  - in order for you to vote wisely, you have to cast one vote for DAP, and cast another vote for PAS, regardless the candidates.

Apart from this, whatever messages received are irrelevant.

First message I received today urging me to vote for BN

Day +2473 : Tesco Vouchers :-)

I am fine today.

I received Tesco cash vouchers for the points accumulated over the past three months. The total amount is RM204 and this is almost sufficient for a one shopping at Tesco.

Apart from the cash, Tesco also provides discount voucher for certain products. The most attractive discount voucher for me is the RM5.00 discount for a pack of 2kg Milo. The offered price for the Milo is RM30.99 and after the RM5.00 discount, it cost only RM25.99. This is really cheap :-) But the offer didn't stop here, every purchase of a pack of 2kg Milo comes with a pack of Munchy's cream cracker worths RM3.80. The offer was so attractive that I purchased 3 packs of 2kg Milo.

To us, Milo is the necessity and I normally stock of few packs of it at home :-)

Day +2441 : A very good investment!

I am fine today.

I purchased two volumes of Francisco Tarrega guitar works and a set of two CDs from Germany on 11 November 2002 with the cost of Euro 93.30. After conversion the total cost was less than RM380.

But when I checked on Amazon today, to get exactly the same items, one has to pay at least USD 500 which is over RM1500 :-) I think the price will increase over time and who knows another 10 years later I will be a millionaire :-)
