Straight or Crooked? Right or Wrong? A Dialogue with Ou Yang Wen Feng (挛自是非 - 与欧阳文风谈同性恋) is a book authored by Professor Dr. Kwan who taught the Christian Ethics this week. It is a rational analysis and discussion on the points raised by Ou Yang Wen Feng.

The book is very well written and I recommend you to have one. You can get the book from publisher - The Bridge Communication Sdn. Bhd. (文桥) or if you need help purchasing it, I am most willing to help. The book cost RM26 only.

Day +2522 : Preaching another sermon :-)

I am fine today.

I preached a sermon at Setia Christian Alliance Church this morning. It was the same sermon as I preached at Puchong Christian Alliance Church two weeks ago and as I mentioned before, it was the sermon that I wrote as part of the requirement of the preaching lab subject.

I was not feeling well on Friday, having coughing and sore throat. I went to see my family Doctor and I am on antibiotics. I expected the doctor to prescribe me strong antibiotic but he told me that my condition is not that serious, thus prescribing me not so strong and cheaper antibiotic. I hope his approach work this time, that I don't have to see him second time to get a stronger antibiotic like last time.

I praise God the coughing and sore throat are getting better this morning and the disease didn't affect my preaching :-)

Day +2478 : First sermon in the seminary chapel service

I am fine today.

Every graduating student is required to preach in the chapel service at least once before graduating and it is my turn to preach today. The topic that I preached was "Imitating the humility of Christ".

This is the first time ever I preached in a chapel service in the seminary. After the preaching, teachers and students were invited to comment on the sermon. Opening the sermon to public comment is something that is newly implemented and I believe this adds a lot more stress to students who are going to preach :-( Anyway, the comment received for my sermon this morning was generally positive :-)

Day +2191 : 6th Bone Marrow Transplant Anniversary

I am fine today.

Today is my 6th bone marrow transplant anniversary. It is by God abundant grace that I am not only alive, but living a life full of wonder :-)

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-33

Day +2190 : A devotional sharing in the morning prayer meeting

I am fine today.

We had morning prayer meeting at 6:30am every Wednesday. Students take turn to give devotional sharing in the meeting.

It was my turn to share this morning - first ever sharing in such occasion :-) The topic of my sharing is "prayer in the perspective of God's children (从天父儿女的身份看祈求)".

Day +2180 : 13th sermon after bone marrow transplant

I am fine today.

Ι preached a sermon in our church at Setia Alam this morning. It was the same sermon that I preached the previous two weeks - "Becoming  children of God"(成为天父的儿女). One sermon preached three times :-)

The children requested to have burgers as lunch, and as a father, I found no reason to turn them down. In the sermon I advised the parents have to be kind to their children - listen to them and obey their commands, and now I have to do what I preached :-) In fact, my wife and I are doing this most of the time.

We ended up having lunch at McDonald. Daniel, Joseph and I ordered Big Mac and the rest were having Filet-o-Fish where each came with drink and fries. Aaron said that he would like to have two Filt-o-Fish, and when he saw that I ordered one for him only, he asked "Where is the other one?" I told him that it is perfectly alright for him to have two Filet-o-Fishes but I will only order another one after he finished the first one. He agreed gladly. He was the first to finish the burger, and he didn't requested for the second one. I believe he was full.

The Big Mac meal was too big for me. I was almost full after completing the fries and I had to force myself to finish the burger :-( I will order Filet-o-Fish which is smaller and cheaper next visit.

Day +2173 : 12th sermon after bone marrow transplant

I am fine today.

I was invited to preach in Jireh Christian Church in Seri Kembangan this morning. This is the first time I was invited to preach :-)  It was the same sermon that I delivered in my church at Puchong last week - "Becoming  children of God"(成为天父的儿女).

Pastor Ng Yit Oun. He is the pastor of Jireh Christian Church. We learned Greek together in MBS.

Day +2019 : Tenth Sermon

I am fine today.

I delivered my tenth sermon this morning in Setia Alam Christian Centre - our new church in Setia Alam. The title of the sermon is "Entering the land of abundance", the same one as I delivered last Sunday in Puchong. A few church members told me that they were encouraged by the sermon after the church service.

Day +2012 : My ninth sermon and a baptism

I am fine today.

I delivered my ninth sermon after bone marrow transplant in our church at Puchong this morning. The title of the sermon is "Entering the land of abundance (进入丰盛之地)". A baptism was held after that where four brothers and sisters were baptised by Rev. Lau.

Day +1965 : Sharing at Setapak Baptist Church

I am fine today.

I am invited to share in Setapak Baptist Church on last Sunday evening. I brought my wife to play piano for me while I was singing during the sharing. I can always sing better with her piano accompaniment.

There were more than 40 people turned up for the outreach event, and I spent one hour and 15 minutes to finish the sharing. Many people were encouraged. One auntie told my wife that all her worries were gone after listening to my sharing, and she would be sleeping very well after that.

I thank God to give me another opportunity to share about His great work in my life :-)
