Day +1410 : Please pray for Pastor David

I am fine.

Pastor David was diagnosed with Leukaemia and below is a summary of his story on his website:
Since November Dave has had chemotherapy, gone into remission, and a 10/10 matching donor has been found on the international registry. Dave was scheduled for a bone marrow transplant in late April 2010, however a bone marrow biopsy showed that he was no longer in remission so he is undergoing further chemotherapy to try and achieve a second remission. The bone marrow transplant has been postponed.
The effort of attaining second remission failed.

He updated on this post Green Bananas on 13 May 2010:
I had another meeting with my medical consultant today and the news is not good. The results of my last bone marrow biopsy were so bad that it is clear that a transplant is not an option (nor would it have made any difference to have gone ahead with the transplant as planned previously). From the doctor’s point of view, there is still some chemo they can give me to keep me going a little longer, but without a miracle it is unlikely that I will make it beyond six months.
And the latest update from his wife Tarnya today - Medical Update
As Dave explained in the previous post the results of the bone marrow biopsy were not good. They had gone from 8% blasts (cancer cells) to 80%. This was with the 2 weeks of heavy duty chemo he had had a few weeks ago. His blood is already filling with blasts. The consultant has moved from cure to control. Dave has gone back on vincristine, the first chemo drug that produced the first remission. If the vincristine does not halt the multiplication of the blasts then Dave may have weeks. If the vincristine can control the blasts he will have a few months.
David and Tarnya has 8 children. Please pray for him, his wife and the family. Also please visit his website at http://davidburge.wordpress.com/ and drops a few words of encouragement.

Thank you in advance for taking care!

See you next post :-)
