The telephone cable in my village, Sg. Mador, back in Sarawak was always subjected to thief. Telekom Malaysia, after fixing it for a few times, abandoned the village, leaving them without fixed telephone line.
However, this didn't deter the villagers of having telephone lines. In fact, they have more lines than anybody now.
