I am fine today.
I have to finish an article for the subject Introduction to Old Testament which I have to submit on Friday. The exam for this subject is scheduled on Thursday morning.
I will be writing on the Book of Ruth, and I have to write at least 4000 words. In order to focus on the assignment, I have no choice but to isolate myself - no email, no facebook, no telephone, no blog post, no music, no guitar, no ...
If you don't see me on any of the above, I am still drowning in the Book of Ruth :-(

Day +1942 : How come you have three while I have only one?
I am fine today.
Seeing that my daughter is so close to me, my wife said that she is my past life lover (前世情人). I would be very happy if this is the case and if she just stopped here :-)
But she continued, saying that the three boys are her past life lovers. I am not happy anymore :-( Why? Jealous! How come she have three while I have only one?

Day +1940 : Getting better and better
I am fine today.
The Augmentin is effective. I am getting better today. The cough and flu are almost cleared. I have two more days to complete this course of antibiotic, and I am very confident that the infection will be cleared completely by then.
As usual, I came back from the seminary this afternoon. The progress of my assignments is still far less than satisfactory :-( I have to find ways to motivate myself to focus more on the assignments, else the life will be getting tougher as the deadlines are approaching.

Day +1939 : Pickled kedondong and cucumber from Rev. Lau
I am fine today.
Rev. Lau is not only good at cooking, he is also good at pickling. It is his passion to prepare pickled kedondong and cucumber for the church members. Therefore, it is a blessing to have him around :-)
Rev. Lau pass to me a big box of pickled kedondong and a jar of pickled cucumber last week. All of us in the family like them very much. The pickled fruits and vegetable not only taste delicious, they also look beautiful and you can see from the photos below.
If you like pickled stuff, come and visit us in the church, and I am sure you will will be eating the best pickled kedondong in the town :-)

Day +1938 : Finished reading the 500 pages book
I am fine today.
This week is the study. It suppose to be a very relax week for me as I have only one exam to sit next week. But what trouble me now is the many assignments that I have to submit very soon :-( And the same trouble is brewing for all those last-minute men and women in the seminary.
In order to focus on the assignment, I came back to the seminary Tuesday and will be staying until Friday. After some hard work I finally finished the 500 pages book - The Cross of Christ - tonight. I will have to write a brief comment of 1000 words regarding the book, and I will do it tomorrow. Apart from this book, I have to write a similar comment for another book that I have already read.
To complete off the requirement for the course of Gospelogy, I will have to write a 3000 word article. Another headache among many other headaches. I need Panadol!

Day +1937 : On Augmentin
I am fine today.
The course of clarithromycin that I took two weeks ago eased the lung infection a little bit, but the condition is getting worse again :-( I am having heavy cough and flu again since Friday.
I went to see Dr. Koh yesterday and I was prescribed one week of Augmentin. This is a second level defence, and usually, the infection will be subsided with the antibiotic.
I hope this course of Augmentin works well as before.

Day +1936 : Breakfast at Yuen Garden Dim Sum House
Ι am fine today.
I brought my sister family for breakfast at Yuen Garden Dim Sum House. They are from Sibu, and I was told that Dim Sum business doesn't work in Sibu. Almost of Dim Sum shop there closed down not long after opening for business. Compared to Kampua Mee which cost RM2.5 per plate only, Dim Sum is considered very expensive. So people rather go for Kampua Mee than Dim Sum. I guess that is why Dim Sum business could not take off there.
In contrast, we see people queuing up for Dim Sum here. This shows that the the way people spending money between the two places is very different.

Day +1935 : Pomelo from Sarawak - doesn't look nice but taste great
I am fine today.
My third sister (bone marrow donor) purchased 40kg of pomelo and asked my second sister (Nga Ming's mother) to bring over to us.
These pomelo doesn't look good but taste fantastic. I haven't find any pomelo produced here taste better than the Sarawak one.
External beauty is good, but what is more important is the inner beauty.

Day +1933 : Completed Greek I
I am fine today.
I sat for the final exam of the subject of Greek I this morning. I spent a few hours memorizing the Greek words and also the nouns and verbs declension before the exam. The one hour exam went on quite smoothly. I managed to answer all the questions, but whether the answers are right or wrong is another matter.
A clerk of the seminary approached me just before the lunch, asking me whether I wrote my name on the exam paper. I only realized by then that I didn't do that.
She said that the handwriting on the paper which didn't have a student name on it was a scribble(很潦草). I knew that must be belonged to me for my style of handwriting is quite illegible, not only to others but sometimes even to myself. She went on to ask me whether I wrote my English name on the paper. In fact, I scribbled some Greek on the place where I should write my name to facilitate me answering the questions. The clerk mistakenly thought that it was my English name :-)
I have one more exam on the following weeks, and a few assignments to complete before concluding my second semester.

Day +1932 : Seafood lunch at 828 Rodney Wong Curry Leaf Crab Restaurant
I am fine today.
I was invited by my seminary mates today to go for a seafood lunch at at Rodney Wong Curry Leaf Crab Restaurant, Rawang. The restaurant is located at somewhere which is very hard to find. What I know is that it is at Rawang, but if you ask me to go again, I am very sure I couldn't get there.
The food here especially the crabs are nice. Each crab cost RM11. Apart from this, the steam fish head is not bad as well :-)
I am going to conclude my first year of seminary study very soon. The principal asked the first year student yesterday how is our first year seminary life. My answer is simple - “I enjoy life here”. Going out occasionally for a nice meal is one way to enjoy.
In addition, when doing assignment, trying to analyze others views and then argue my own points through - turning white to black, and black to white (指鹿为马) - is also enjoying :-) I put forward quite ridiculous but interesting argument, at least to me, in one of my assignment, and the comment that I got from the lecturer was "seriously distorting the Bible!", but I was still awarded good marks for the assignment.
For a good lecturer, as long as you think, you should be awarded marks. The principle is very simple. When we have two points which go against each other on two extremes, there has to be one which is ridiculous, and one which is not. The one who holds a point which is not ridiculous will see other ridiculous. However, if the one who holds the ridiculous point thinks that his point is not ridiculous, then the "not ridiculous" one is now ridiculous. This is interpreted based on "relativity".
So when you put forward a ridiculous point, a good lecturer will understand that there is a possibility that his own non-ridiculous point becoming ridiculous. This makes the lecturer emphasizes less on the point itself but rather on the way you arrive at the point :-)

Day +1931 : You must wake me up tomorrow morning
I am fine today.
My daughter Adriel reminded me many times on Monday that I must wake her up before I left for the seminary early next morning. I did wake her up 6:30am in the morning. She just wanted to say goodbye to me with a big hug and a kiss :-)
In fact, she asked the maid to wake her up last Tuesday. The maid didn't do that. When she woke up and saw that I have already left, she cried very loud, as if she was beaten by someone :-(
Girls and boys are very different in how they look at some of the things. If I woke up any of my boys in the early morning just to say goodbye, I might get a big complain rather than a big hug.

Day +1930 : Lunch at Taiwan Recipe
I am fine today.
My wife and I had lunch at Taiwan Recipe (台湾小吃) on the third floor of IOI mall (new wing) last Saturday. This is the second time we visited the restaurant. It serves nice dishes.
It is a place to visit if you like beef especially.
