Day +1912 : New model of Kindle released

I am fine today.

Amazon released 4 new models of Kindle a few days after I purchased 4 units of Kindle 3 at a price of USD114 each. The price of the new model starts as slow as USD79. The highest end product now is Kindle Fire which comes with a colour e-ink display. All new models do not come with a keyboard.

The model that I have purchased is now renamed to Kindle Keyboard and the price dropped from USD114 to USD99 , so I lose USD15 per unit. Under the advice of my nephew, Soon Hui, I requested Amazon for a refund, and they accommodated the request without a question. Through a simple online chat, they rebated USD60 to my credit card account :-)

I am now happy with my purchase :-)

Day +1911 : Third test of Introduction to Old Testament

I am fine today.

I sat for the third test of the subject of Introduction to Old Testament this morning. As a last-minute man who always finish assignments last minute, I was rushing for a church history assignment until early yesterday morning. As such, I really don't have much time to prepare for this test until yesterday evening.

However, I am not the worst one. May roommate, Kah Kiong, managed to complete his church history assignment only at midnight yesterday. So he is more last-minute than me :-)

Anyway, both of us managed to wake up at 5:00am today to do last minute revision. In this respect, we are better than most of our classmates as most of them told us that they failed to wake up at 5:00am though their alarm clock was set at that time.

I thank God that the test is still manageable :-)

Day +1909 : A dumpling feast (1)

I am fine today.

My cell group in the seminary organised a dumpling feast this afternoon. We are blessed to have a few dumpling specialists with us, and under their instruction, all of us participated in the dumpling making process. Though the end products look ugly, they tasted wonderful :-)

In fact, it is not really the taste, but the togetherness that counts. I believe the event will serve as a sweet memory for all of us for a long time. Life in the seminary is colourful and fun :-)

To be continued and see you next post :-)
